The Sopot Jazz Festival is a continuation of the first jazz festival held in Poland, which took place in 1956. For the last three years the artistic director is Adam Pierończyk, one of the most important and most creative Polish saxophonists. Thanks to a new formula the festival has written itself into the calendar of the biggest jazz events in Poland.
